Dear Reader,

I started Ruqaya’s Bookshelf because I wanted something more for my daughter, books that reflected her identity, her faith, her beautiful Muslim name. I wanted her to open a storybook and see a character who looked like her, believed like her, dreamed like her.

Since 2015, I’ve been on a mission to help families raise confident, faith-filled children through stories that are bright, meaningful, and deeply rooted in Islamic values.

This work is incredibly personal to me. After my devotion to Allah, my daughter Ruqaya is my greatest source of inspiration. As a widowed mother, I’ve poured my heart into every book we publish, so that children like Ruqaya grow up knowing they are seen, valued, and celebrated.

This vegetarian cafe offers a colorful menu filled with healthy options. I tried the quinoa salad, which was refreshing and satisfying. The atmosphere is bright and cheerful, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends.

This tea house is a hidden gem! They have an extensive menu of teas from around the world. I tried the jasmine green tea, which was fragrant and refreshing. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a perfect spot for a quiet afternoon.

The local brewery offers a fantastic selection of craft beers. I enjoyed a flight of their seasonal brews, each with unique flavors. The staff was knowledgeable and passionate about their products. The outdoor seating area is a great place to enjoy a sunny day.

This pizza place offers a wide variety of toppings and crust options. The thin crust pizza I ordered was perfectly baked, with just the right amount of cheese and fresh ingredients. The only downside was the wait time, which was a bit longer than expected. Overall, a great experience!

I particularly enjoyed their signature espresso, which had a rich flavor and a smooth finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy spot to relax or work.
